The handcrafted Sela Chau Gong Dark Moon is made according to traditional Chinese craftsmanship and impresses with its powerful, expressive sound. Its characteristic raised center and finely lathed playing surface create deep vibrations, rich overtones and an exceptionally long sustain. Depending on the playing technique, it produces anything from delicate, calming sounds to powerful, room-filling waves of sound.

As the surface of the Dark Moon gongs is completely untreated, they have some special visual and tonal features.

These gongs have a natural and earthy sound with a rich and complex frequency spectrum. The untreated surface also gives the Dark Moon gongs a rustic and authentic look. The visible traces of hand hammering and the natural patina create a very special aesthetic and make each piece a unique work of art. The adjustable design accommodates the included 28" gong perfectly and offers comfortable playing whether standing or seated.

The black powder-coated steel stand allows the gong to swing freely, creating a stunning sound experience. The multi-reinforced steel construction holds the gong reliably, even when it is swinging. The locking brakes on two of the four castors on the feet also keep the stand in place. The hooks on the right and left outer sides offer the option of hanging up equipment such as a mallet.

With the Allen key supplied, the Sela gong stand can be assembled in a few simple steps and quickly disassembled again for space-saving transportation.
